During our summer camp, your child will get hands-on experience with different species of animals, they will gain knowledge of the different occupations that are needed in a veterinary hospital. Campers will get a behind-the-scenes look at our hospital and surgery room and an introduction to laboratory equipment at Pressly Animal Hospital. It is an excellent opportunity for kids who are interested in becoming veterinarians to learn more about what is required to work in the veterinary field and the different roles they could work in.

We will have a day where the kids can observe the veterinary team treating patients, and they will have an opportunity to perform “surgery” on their own stuffed animal surgery patient. Not only will they get to view x-rays and interesting slides under a microscope, but they will also gain an understanding of what they are seeing. There are daily crafts as well as a field trip to the Pressly Farm where they will learn about the various farm animals and how to care for them. This will be a veterinary camp like no other here in the Charlotte region as it will be a truly hands-on, submersive experience.
