Fall is here! Fingers crossed the cool weather lingers before winter sets in. This season offers the perfect opportunity to get your pets outside to soak up the crisp air and beautiful scenery. Here are some favorite fall activities to keep your pet active, healthy, and happy:

Hiking – Long walks with lots of sniffing opportunities stimulate your dog’s brain just as much as their body! Cooler temps mean longer excursions without the risk of overheating. Don’t forget a portable water bowl if you’re heading out for a more rigorous adventure.

Camping – The more time outside, the merrier! Not only will your pups enjoy the new scenes and changing leaves, but they’ll also be so happy to spend that time with you.

Baking – We enjoy lots of treats around the holidays—so our pets should too! Although human sweets are off-limits, there are plenty of pet recipes that use common ingredients you may already have on hand: peanut butter, carrots, bacon, pumpkin, and more.

Leaf Pile Play – Ignore the backyard mess and embrace the moment! Let your dog run wild through the leaf piles. Bonus points if you join in on the fun!

Fall Photo Shoot – With leaves changing and decorations coming out, it’s the perfect time to snap seasonal photos. Stage your pet in front of scenic trees or find a decorated park. If they enjoy wearing clothes, a cozy sweater makes it even cuter.

Coffee Runs – Holiday drinks are back! Next time you decide to take an early morning or lunch break coffee run, bring them along for the fresh air and maybe a treat from a dog-friendly barista!
