Adoptable Animals
Meet Our Adoptable Pets
When rescues are overwhelmed and shelters are crowded, we occasionally take in pets who need extra care, healing, and help finding a loving home. If you’re interested in meeting one of our adoptable friends, reach out to [email protected] or call (704) 234‑0374. An adoption application and fee apply.
Mamba
Breed: Terrier
Young, Female, Medium Sized
This beautiful girl is Mamba, a terrier mix who is fully vaccinated and ready for her forever home.
Mamba is very friendly and active, with a happy, enthusiastic personality. She does great with other dogs and with children, though she can get a little excited at times—something that just comes with her joyful energy.
Mamba is already a wonderful dog, and she’s currently in training to learn her basic commands so she can be an even more well-mannered companion. With continued guidance and love, she’ll thrive in an active home that enjoys her zest for life.
Snowball
Breed: Great Pyrenees/ Poodle Mix
Young, Male, Large
Snowball is a handsome 3-year-old, 65-pound Pyredoodle (Great Pyrenees / Poodle mix) with a big personality and an equally big heart for the right home.
This boy truly knows how to fit in with his people. Snowball can happily go with the flow—content to lounge on the sofa during a Netflix-and-chill evening, but just as excited to join in when it’s time to head outdoors. He rides wonderfully in the car, did great for his bath, and absolutely loves the snow and tennis balls. He already knows how to sit and politely offer his paw, walks beautifully on leash, and was calm and non-reactive when seeing other dogs on walks. He is also fully crate trained and enjoys settling in for the night—especially if that means sleeping in bed with his humans.
Snowball’s former owner affectionately described him as “95% the perfect dog,” and it’s easy to see why. He’s affectionate, adaptable, and bonds closely with his people.
Snowball will thrive best in a calm, adult-only home with an experienced and confident owner who understands canine behavior. He can show some resource guarding, particularly around food and occasionally during play, and benefits from clear boundaries and thoughtful management. In his previous home, Snowball struggled with the busy energy of young children, which ultimately led to his surrender. For everyone’s safety and success, he is not a good match for a home with young kids.
We believe Snowball is a Pyredoodle, and his ideal adopter will understand typical Great Pyrenees traits—including independence, stubborn streaks, and food guarding tendencies—and be willing to manage these behaviors thoughtfully and consistently.
Snowball is looking for a calm, structured home where boundaries are respected, routines are consistent, and his wonderful qualities can truly shine. In the right environment, he has the potential to be an incredibly loyal, loving companion.
Frankie
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Young, Male, Black
Frankie is a handsome, under‑three‑year‑old black cat who was recently surrendered when his owner’s apartment changed their pet rules. He previously lived with other cats, so he has a solid history of doing well with feline friends and should adjust nicely to a home with other pets.
At the hospital, Frankie has been taking his time getting used to all the new sights and sounds, but once he feels comfortable, his true personality comes out. He’s affectionate with the people caring for him, leans into pets, and clearly enjoys gentle attention. He’s the kind of cat who forms real bonds once he decides you’re part of his circle.
He’s sweet, social at heart, and so ready for a fresh start with someone who will appreciate his soft, steady charm.
