Kennel Attendant - Full & Part Time
Summary
This position will provide professional animal care services by exercising pets to maintain physical and mental health along with feeding and bathing if needed. Maintain clean and sanitized areas and monitoring the health and habits of the animals in your care. Will assist our veterinary nurses with pulling up vaccines, running fecals, restraining and nail trims.
Qualifications:
- Valid ID with proof of eligibility to work in US
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats of varying size, age, breed and temperament
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN PET BOARDING AND DAYCARE REQUESTED
- Work M-F, weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of kennels, runs and cat condos
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of bowls, towels, litter boxes, and beds
- Picking up and properly disposing of dog waste out of yard, and kennels
- Cleaning up and properly disposing of cat waste out of litter boxes and cages
- Replenishing food and water as needed
- Exercising dogs by walking them in the afternoons before the hospital closes.
- Administering oral medications
- Ensuring that all laundry is clean and put away neatly

Veterinary Assistant - Full Time
Summary
We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to provide care for animals in our fast paced hospital and wellness clinic while supporting 3 Veterinarians. You’ll play an important role in bringing comfort to our patients and clients and will ensure that the hospital flow is running smoothly and effectively. One of the most important Veterinary Assistant responsibilities is to ensure that all areas of the hospital are clean. We will also rely on you to assist the Veterinarians in examinations and surgeries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar position working with animals
- Administrative experience is a plus
- Must be a team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient and caring personality
- Ability to follow instructions properly and to pivot and shift at any moment
- Comfortable being around all species of animals
- Sight of urine, feces, blood, needles, and open surgeries do not bother you
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 50 lbs.)
- Availability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
- High school diploma; a certificate from an accredited Veterinary Assistant program is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care
- Collect samples (urine, blood, feces, etc.) and running necessary tests
- Administer medication prescribed by Veterinarians (intravenous, intramuscular, oral, rectal, etc.)
- Clean exam rooms, surgery suite, treatment area, kennels/cages and bathe animals* (*if necessary)
- Sterilize surgical equipment
- Collect medical history from clients and document in Daysmart
- Assist with taking x-rays
- Prep patients for surgery, monitor, and assist in surgery as needed
- Observe animal behavior and health conditions and report to the Vet
- Assist in emergency/critical situations
- Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and communicating with clients via telephone, email, and text
- Keep accurate and detailed records
- Advise pet owners on nutrition and healthcare
- Assist with Euthanasia
Pay: From $17.25 per hour
Expected hours: 30+ hours per week
